___BOOMERANG
MATCHPLAY
|
| |
OBJECTIVE:
Trap the first ball in the real Boom's target. Use
the second ball to release it. Do it in fewer putts
than your opponent(s) - and WIN! And
while I don't want to be seen to promote gambling,
put a few bucks on the outcome, and see how it affects
the nature of the beast. Suitable for any number of
players.
|
| RULES: |
1.
|
Players
should compete over 3, or 5 legs. |
|
|
2.
|
Always
determine who putts first by coin toss. |
|
3.
|
The
player who traps and releases the ball in the least number
of putts, wins. |
|
4.
|
If
a tie, competitors will play a single, sudden death leg,
to determine a winner. |
|
5.
|
Ensure
your Boomerang is setup the same for all players. |
|
6.
|
All players must putt from the same spot. |
|
7.
|
If
you exceed 10 putts, you immediately loose your turn and
record a score of 10. |
|
8.
|
The
penalty for getting both balls trapped in the target is
to clear the target of both balls before counting recommences. |
|
|
OBJECTIVE:
Catch
and release consecutively, 13 times or more.
This
is the ultimate putting skill test. Like the online game,
the aim here is to catch and release as many consecutive
putts in a real Boomerang's target as you can.
At
the time this video was shot, Brian Vo was a 21 year old
UCF student, living in Orlando. Almost five years on, and
he's still the undisputed King! Brian
says he doesn't play competitive golf anymore, but he should,
he's got a heck of a repeating stroke as you'll see if you
watch his video. To set his record, Brian got more than
a few blisters. That's what I like to see, suffering for
your art!
