Here's a great tip for controlling the speed and distance
of a golf ball accurately, and consistently. For this one
it's all about synchronization. The secret is to
lengthen your through stroke, and make every putt a simple
race to the target, between the putter and the ball. Sounds
easy? When you can do the drills, it is.
Watch the first video above and see, from my POV, exactly
what I see every time I use the Boomerang Technique or BoomTech.
If that doesn't look easy, what does?
Applying BoomTech, there are only three possible outcomes
- either the putter wins the race, the ball wins or it's
a dead heat. Once you practice the drills you'll be able
to dead heat every time. The result will look and behave
like the ball is on a string for you.
Once you learn BoomTech, you'll find it immediately turns
a hit into a stroke, and makes visualizing and achieving
good distance control much more consistent than relying
on feel alone. See what BoomTech did for Ozgolf's "IanO,"
below. He transformed short and stabby into a real stroke
very quickly.
